As part of sports week, we took part in a whole school Wimbledon day where the children practised their skills linked to Tennis. Well done everyone!
We have achieved GOLD for our School Games Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

I am looking for the skill of perserverance this half term. We are discussing it in assembly and we have shared the importance of this in our daily lives and for future employment.
This half term, our topic is called 'Tremendous Toys: Have you got this toy at home?' We will be exploring how toys have changed since our Grandparents were little to the current toys today. We will get to play with a variety of old toys and will use their DT skills to create their very own moving toy. Today, Year 1 made fruit kebabs. The children had to chop, peel and arrange fruit into a tasty and pleasing presentation. The children reasearched a variety of different fruits before designing their kebab. They had to think about the look, feel and taste. They learnt how to use everyday tools safely and how to present their product. The children got to eat their kebabs and evaluate them with their peers. Great job everyone!
