Huge congratulations to our KS2 pupils for achieving 2nd place in the Cheshire cricket finals. They were outstanding under coach Noah. Some superb bowling, many 6s were hit and great team work supporting each other. They do progress to further tournaments in Cheshire and represent Tameside. We couldn't be prouder. Man of the Tournament was Harry - we normally don't allow him to hit so hard in school as he loses our tennis balls. Today we let him loose and he nearly hit the windows of houses surrounding the ground. Very impressive. Well done.

To celebrate the World Cup 2026 and the pride of our national teams, we are allowing our pupils to wear national tops all the way through the tournament. We just love the diversity we have and it is important to celebrate that, whether they are in the World Cup or not.
Please come along to our book fair. Starts Friday 19th June 3pm and continues until 24th June. All purchases, will support our school with free books too.

Shannon from iRock came into school today to help the school create a rock band. The children were enthralled! They clapped, sang, waved and swayed in time with the instruments and thoroughly enjoyed the rendition of We Will Rock You!

Year 4 loved meeting their final visitor of careers week, Andy Robertson, who is a GB sprinter and also a PT. They learnt all about how he juggles two careers and what has inspired him to pick them. It was interesting to find how he struggled to find out what he wanted to do as a career when he retires from athletics, until he settled on PT and coaching. Year 4 particularly enjoyed getting the chance to improve their sprinting technique and applying this to some relay races in the sunshine.
