Today was the first wellbeing meeting of the year. They Y6 leaders loved meeting the new class leaders and discussed making a school newspaper and enjoyed the team building activity as well.

Tameside Music Service has started to work with our Year 4 class.
Mrs Riley will be teaching music including the violin each Thursday.
Children are very excited and keen to learn. They can't wait to take them home to practice.
Our teachers have had training with the British Orienteering association today. Orienteering is an exciting outdoor adventure sport that exercises mind and body. The aim is to navigate between checkpoints or controls marked on a special orienteering map. There is no set route so the skill and fun come from trying to find the best way to go! In competitive orienteering, the challenge is to complete the course in the quickest time.

Autumn 1- Year 4 learning will be based on the theme of The Romans!
We are looking forward to exploring how important The Romans were in Britain and will read a class text aswell as going on a school visit to Chester's Grovesnor Museum.
