Yesterday, we brought our class text to life in a very creative way by making our own SuperTatos! Creating our SuperTatos helped us to explore the characters and ideas from our class text in a fun and memorable way. We also had the chance to develop our creativity, practise our descriptive language and explain our ideas to others.
I am pleased to let you know that Broadbent Fold have come 3rd in Tameside this year’s Summer Reading Challenge! Congratulations! Find our certificate of achievement attached.

We celebrate National Poetry Day on Thursday 1st October in school. Our Librarians have launched a new competition. Children in years 1-6 can illustrate a picture of their favourite poem or send in a photograph/video of themselves reading their favourite poem. Send this into your class teacher who will forward to Miss Harvey and the Librarians to choose a winner on Friday 9th October. Please see attached flyer with information.
The horse chestnut trees have arrived for planting around the school grounds. Year 2 are going to have some fun planting these 25 saplings during Forest School.

Max from Front Row Music came and performed in our assembly this morning getting the children really enthused about playing the guitar. Hopefully, more children will sign up for lessons on the guitar or ukulele with Drew.
