Year 4 Royal Opera Work

Following our certifcates. We also received excellent feedback:

Dear Year 4

Wow! A huge congratulations on your fantastic composition Peony Pink.

We loved hearing your interpretation of the colour Peony Pink that you chose to complete Omar's opera 'Blue, Red, Yellow...' .

At the ENO, a group of us got together to listen to all of the compositions submitted to us just before Christmas.

Your composition was listened to by:

William Haggerty, Head of Events, ENO

 And here is their feedback:

Really liked the emphasis on the pop at the end of lollipop, made it stand out a lot and start with the piece a bang. The way you finished with 'the sun is setting' as well i really enjoyed and it was a great note to round off the piece - well done!

We are also especially excited to let you know that your composition was one of 38 (out of over 160 submitted) to be selected to be turned into an animation! Huge congratulations!

Here is a link to your animated composition:

We also sent those compositions selected for animation to our composer Omar Shahryar so that he could listen and provide you with his own feedback:

This immediately made me smile. I can hear the pink in your performance. I love the dynamic contrasts that make each section really interesting. I don't know if you meant to chant "Ballet" like a football chant, but I love the irony! I also love the diminuendo at the end as the sun sets. Very skillful.

Enjoy celebrating your amazing work on the project, and we very much hope you are inspired to keep on composing!

Warmest wishes,
