Welcome to Year 6 with Mrs Higham and Mrs Gao. We are really looking forward to teaching the cohort again and supporting them in their final year at Broadbent Fold.  I do hope you've all had a fabulous summer holiday, and the children are raring to get cracking for our first term in Year 6. This half term starts by ensuring the children understand the expectations of Year 6. I will be explicit in how we can raise standards to ensure the children know what they need to do this year to be secondary school ready. These standards will be interwoven into our work in our first topic- Can You See Me? Here we will be exploring about: our very own unique characteristics; delving into how our eyes work and completing a whistle stop tour of British History.Our PE days will be on Tuesdays and Wednesday. Seeing as PE is at 2:00 on Tuesday afternoon, the children will go home in their kit. Their next session is at 9:00am on Wednesday, the children may come to school in their PE kit and bring their uniform to change into.
