Penny Whistles

The children were fantastic in their first ever penny whistle lesson with Mrs O'Leary. They learnt how to play the notes A B G, sang Roman songs and analysed a Frank Sinatra song. A great session.

Roman Research

Year 4 had an opportunity to research our history topic- The Romans. They chose from a multitude of topics from currency, language, gods, buildings, clothing, Emperors and even lifestyles. Their work is really coming on and I look forward to displaying some of it.

Pupil Leaders and Wellbeing

Our Pupil Leaders met and completed their first task today. They met our Mental Health Leader and discussed wellbeing. Their next task is to review our anti-social behaviour policy.

Front Row Music

Front Row Music came into assembly today to explain their music facilities. They got some children to demonstrate how easy it was to play the guitar and ukulele, play some games and they really enthused the children. If you wish for your child to have lessons, please ask for a sign up sheet.

Super Roman Reinactment

Year 4 had a surprise today as they were transformed into Roman soldiers. They had to collect their equipment, march around the field, get into the Testudo formation and attack a Celtic village. Fantastic role play.

Year 4 Awards

What a fantastic first week in Year 4 for the class. I was highly impressed by these 4 children and they received the first certificates and Good to be Green pencils. Well done.

The Romans

Year 4 have kicked off our Romans topic by finding out about the invasion and the spread of the Roman Empire. Here you can see how they used their geography skills to locate the countries that the Roman Empire invaded.
