Today the Reading Ambassadors had their first meeting with Lisa from Tameside Libraries. They joined in on Zoom with other Reading Ambassadors in Tameside. They looked at the work produced in our library club this term.
Our next mission is to encourage children to make a Book Review.

Our amazing year 6s met at Dukinfield Cenotaph yesterday with our govenror Mr Moon to lay a wreath on behalf of our community. What excellent role models we have.
This half term, our topic in Year 4 is 'Can you hear me all the way around the world?' where we will be learning all about sound, captial cities and where countries are in the world.

Year 4 have been working really hard in their DT lessons to create Roman mosaics out of clay. They were tasked with creating a mosaic that was 10cm by 10cm so that all the tiles would fit together to create a class mosaic. Which design do you like best?

Our KS2 pupils did us proud in the final race of the Cross Country Grand Prix. Well done to everyone that took part!
A huge congratulations to our Year 3/4 boys cross country team who won team 1st place over the 3 races in the Grqnd Prix.

Year 4 had a fantastic visit from out school governor Agnes who taught us all about black history. We learnt about the journey of chocolate and how it gets from the plants to our shops. Year 4's favourite part was getting to try white, milk and dark chocolate at the end.

Year 4 have been busy creating Celtic roundhouses and Roman villas as part of their creative homework. They all look fabulous - don't forget to look at them all in our school entrance!
Team Ruby win the team points this half term with 1,917 points. They receive non-uniform day on Thursday. Well done everyone.
This half term our assembly focus has been on 'Communication' and the importance in their future job. A pupil from each class was voted and achieved their certificate and 5 star points. They have displayed outstanding speaking and listening skills - well done superstars.
