Today our Reading Ambassadors had their first meeting with Lisa from Tameside Library. First they shared all of the posters that were entered into the competition- thank you to members of Year 5 and Year 2 for your poster entries. Please see their posters attached. Today we looked at traditional Polish folk art called wyncinaski. We either used a stencil or created our own artwork using nature as a stimulus.
These look fantastic.
On 11th November 1918 Poland celebrated it's independence day. As Polish is our Modern Foreign Language - we will be celebrating this event and taking part in many activities. Miss Laitl our Polish teacher will lead this.
Anti-Bullying Week 2024 will take place from Monday 11th - Friday 15th November, with the theme: Choose Respect. Odd Socks Day is taking place on Tuesday 12th November, with adults and children being encouraged to wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.

Today we did some hot seating where we got into the role of our characters in Stone Age Boy to infer what they may say in the story. We had some great acting and super oracy skills were demonstrated through our speaking and listening whilst answering questions.
In Autumn 2 our topic is 'Could you stick it in the Stone Age? I'm a modern child get me out of here!'
