An experience taking us back to 1941 during WW2, our trip enabled children to see and learn about what life would have been like during the war.
Gas masks, bombs, trying on clothes that would have been through 'make do and mend' were just a few of the hands on experiences that children had today.
Walking through the Air Raid Shelter and seeing for ourselves what a black out would have felt like was amazing.
In the words of Year 3, "the best trip ever".

We are very much looking forward to teaching this half term's theme all linked to WW2. Of course history will be the main subject. Our English diary writing and newspaper writing will be enhanced by our historical knowledge.

A huge congratulations to Team Emerald, who have won the House Cup and will recieve non-uniform day on Thursday 28th March. The team scored a huge 1,099 points! Well done.
