In our first aid workshop with Danny a first aid trainer from Mini First Aid Manchester we learnt what to do if there was an emergency.

Lots of children from Broadbent Fold braved the wind and rain for another day of cross country. Well done to everyone who took part but a special congratulations to Albert and Xander who have been chosen to represent Tameside in the Greater Manchester Cross Country Championships.

What a busy week we've had in Year 3! The amount of the awards definitely reflects this. Congratulations to all the children who received the Head Teachers's Award as well as Silver and Bronze awards. A big well done to the children who won their Good to be Green Raffle. Keep up the good work everyone!
Year 3 have had a truly explosive week, starting off with sharing their home made models of volcanoes. The models are fabulous lots of support from parents.
Children have learnt all about volcanoes in their Geography lessons. They have even wrote their own acrostic poems.
As an art focus they've created collages of volcanoes and used oil pastels to draw volcanoes.
It has been another busy week in Year 3. Congratulations to the children who followed our school rules of being Ready, Respectful and Safe! A big well done to the children who received the Head Teacher's Award for excellent work in class.
Year 3 have started learning dribbling and push pass skills in hockey. They are progressing and developing skills with their partners and in small groups.
Year 3 have been making fantastic bird feeders ready for the Big Schools' Bird Watch. They also had fun making cakes in the mud kitchen and playing the Sparrow Hawk game.
