Librarians

Meet our new Librarians. We had our first meeting on Friday and they already have lots of plans for the year ahead. They will be very busy soon helping to organise our new library furniture. The lunchtime clubs will start very soon and they can't wait to get going.

Superstars

Well done to all of our Year 3 Superstars this week.

I am so pleased that we also won the very first PE trophy this week for our super dance lesson.

Place Value

Year 3 have been partitioning numbers up to 100 this week using bead strings to help them. Great counting.

Class Charter

This week we looked at our rights in a school. We then used technology to create a class word cloud of the most important rules we think we should have to have a happy, effective classroom.

Welcome to Year 3!

I am very excited to start our new year together in Year 3.

We have a very full half term planned. see our new topic information for the half term. This will be updated every half term on the class blog and on Seesaw.

I ahve attached the Home Learning Plan with ideas and activities which can be completed this half term as additional learning. Please attach completed work on your Seesaw profile or you can send them FAO Miss Harvey to admin@broadbentfold.tameside.sch.uk

House Captains

Our new House Captains have been voted for Sapphire, Amber, Ruby and Emerald. Good luck to our new houses. Let's see who our first winner is!

Year 3 Poem

What a brilliant poem by a year 3 pupil. Not sure I dive in as elegantly though! Well done Emily.

Awards Assembly

Today we shared our final awards assembly. In each class two children won a special end of year award for either attainment or behaviour- they also received a gift card to say thank you for their hard work this year. We also celebrated our leaders around school including our Head Boy and Girl, Prefects, Librarians, Reading Ambassadors, Pupil Leaders, Sports Ambassadors and Eco leaders.

Additionally we found out our new Head Boy and Girl and prefects for our next academic year- I am sure they will all do a wonderful job.
