Children’s Mental Health Week Wellbeing Walk

Year 3 had a magical yet chilly time on their walk to Gorse Hall today. We did a nature scavenger hunt, played games, chased a rogue balloon and climbed trees. It was a lovely way to look after our wellbeing.

Superstars

Well done to all superstars who achieved certificates today. Most of the class received one for their amazing volcano creations. We also all received one for completing 5 tasks this week for Children's Mental Health Week. We have explored affirmations, gratitude, complements and breathing exercises. I hope you all use some of these ideas to help with your wellbeing.

Working scientifically

This term we are enjoying working scientifically exploring different parts of science investigations. Today we have been taking accurate measurements using different thermometers.

OAA in PE

We had a lot of fun playing team games in PE this week. Our favourite was pass the balloon blindfolded.

Scratch Coding

Year 3 have enjoyed using Scratch to explore coding motion, sound, costumes and backdrops. Today they have planned their final project which they will create next week.

Volcanoes

Our creative homework project this term was to create a volcano. The volcanoes that have been brought in so far are outstanding year 3. You have worked so hard on them and I am really enjoying all of the videos that are being sent in of you making your volcanoes erupt at home.

I cannot wait to see the rest of them.

Author Spotlight

The Reading Ambassadors set the whole school a challenge to research a famous author to share in assembly. Today each class shared some facts about their chosen authors including Michael Rosen, Francesca Simon, Tom Fletcher, Jeff Kinney, Katherine Rundell and Tony Bradman.

Thank you for sharing your facts and please look out for these author books in our library.
