Wimbledon Day

Year 3 enjoyed practising their tennis skills today. We loved using the new tennis net to practise rallies with our opponent. Thank you to our Year 6 helpers Matthew and Oscar.

Superstars

Well done to all of the children in year 3 who shared their achievements today. I am particularly impressed with the children who have completed their project work on Anceint Greece already!

Oracy work

This week we have been retelling Ancient Greek myths using our oracy skills. We are really enjoying finding out about different creatures such as Medusa and the Minotaur.

Football in Y3

Year 3 have started to practise football techniques with Mr Williams. Today we looked at the skills of passing and dribbling. Alex won the Sport's Award of the week.

Summer 2 Topic Information: Who were the Ancient Greeks?

This term our topic is 'Who were the Ancient Greeks?' We will explore what life was life in Ancient Greece exploring Gods and Goddesses, the Olympics and ancient myths and legends. We will taste a selection of vegetables for a Greek salad and use out DT skills to make our own versions. Please see the attached information and home learning ideas. Don't forget about our creative homework task which is also attached.

Career’s Week visitor

Thank you to Gary the vicar from Holy Trinity who came in today to share what he does in his daily job. The class asked a range of thoughtful questions and I was very impressed.

Bones

We have been learning the scientific names for parts of a skeleton using a catchy song. Today we revised these using 'Simon Says'

We then planned and conducted investigations collecting data to test if the length of our bones made us jump or throw further.
