To celebrate National World Book Day, the children came to school dressed as their favourite book characters, while others chose to wear their pyjamas to celebrate the joy of bedtime stories and the special time many families share reading together at the end of the day. It was wonderful to see such a fantastic range of costumes and to talk about all of the different stories the children enjoy. As part of our celebrations, the children also took part in a “Guess the Book from the Prop” activity. They were shown different props and had to think carefully about which story they might belong to. The children loved sharing their ideas and working together to figure out the answers. World Book Day is always a great opportunity to celebrate our love of reading, and it was lovely to see so much enthusiasm for books and stories throughout the day.
