Super Science Week!

Super Science Week!

Science Week was a huge success last week!   From Tuesday to Thursday Billy Branston's Amazing Potato Factory Bus was resident in our car park and children from Year 1 to Year 6 all spent an hour in the bus where they engaged in hands on tasks such as planting; growing and storage; sorting and weighing and nutrition and cooking.  Key Stage 2 were lucky to visit the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester where they took part in fun, educational and interactive shows and activities.  On Friday 20th March we were all ready to put our handmade pinhole viewers to use when we were able to view the much talked about Solar Eclipse!  We weren't disappointed!  It was "amazing", "awesome" and "unforgettable" said some of the children.  Our competition for "The Worst Invention Ever" received a record number of entries and they really were all fantastic!  A glass football, waterproof teabags and an inflatable dartboard were just some of the innovative designs we received. Thank you to all the parents who helped these budding scientists! Watch out for photos of the amazing creations!
