Stereotypes in the workplace

Stereotypes in the workplace

Today in PSHE we played one of our talking games called 'Consensus Circle' to debate the question 'Which jobs are best suited to women?'

We had some interesting discussions using a talk token each time we wanted to talk. We had to listen carefully to our group to be able to state whether we agreed or disagreed with their ideas.

We decided that women can and should do any job they want to. Nothing can hold them back if they are determined. However they did agree that some jobs may be better suited only because of the interests which some women may have.

The jobs we decided may be better suited to women included nail technicians, gymnasts, actors, archaeologists, nurses, footballers, seamstresses, dancers, hairdressers, authors, painters, teachers, vets, designers and slime makers. A great discussions year 3 well done!
