This morning, year 1 arrived at school to find footprints, fossils and eggs in the classroom! The children quickly became Archaeologists and used their skills in pairs to carefully crack open the eggs. The children found different dinosaurs in them! When the children learned that the footprints must have come from a dinosaur, they became Palaeontologists and used different tools delicately to find fossils and dinosaurs. The children could identify and name some of the dinosaurs / fossils. Using their observation skills, the children could create dinosaur skeleton artwork using cotton buds.
