This morning, Year 1 arrived at school to discover something very unusual… mysterious footprints had appeared! The children were full of excitement and curiosity as we began to wonder what creature or animal could have made them. We are now eagerly awaiting some CCTV footage to see if anything was spotted around the school.

To add to the mystery, the creature appeared to have laid eggs inside the classroom! This discovery quickly inspired the children to become Archaeologists, carefully searching for clues and evidence to help solve the mystery.

Before long, the children transformed into Paleontologists and took part in a range of exciting dinosaur-themed activities. These included cutting and sticking to create dinosaur pictures using bones, using tools to dig in sand to uncover fossils and bones, and searching for different dinosaurs before labelling them correctly. The children also enjoyed learning the names of different dinosaurs, discovering fossils hidden inside eggs, and working together as a team to complete a dinosaur jigsaw.

It was a fantastic morning full of imagination, teamwork, curiosity, and hands-on learning. Year 1 showed great enthusiasm and creativity as they explored the world of dinosaurs and investigated the clues left behind by our mysterious visitor!
