Welcome back! I hope you all had a lovely Easter break! Our topic for Summer 1 is “Hot or Cold?”. We will be learning all about the North Pole, South Pole and the Equator, identifying where these are on a globe and comparing the key features of hot and cold places. We will also be going on an exciting trip to Imagine That, where the children will take part in lots of fun, hands-on activities. They will explore the art area to get creative, enjoy the water play zone, and investigate in the science area with experiments and discovery. There will also be opportunities for role play and imaginative play, helping the children learn about the world around them in an engaging way. We will be preparing for our phonics screening check, recapping and revisiting all of our Phase 3, 4 and 5 sounds.
