I do hope you all have a fabulous October half term holiday, and the children get a break before coming back for our second term in Year 4. This half term will start off with our Science topic of Sound. The children will be finding out about how their ears work, how sound travels and how the telephone was invented and works. We will also be whizzing off around the world.  The children will be learning about the Capital Cities, Greenwich Meridian, the Tropics and the Equator. Home learning projects of making a musical instrument and a report on a country will really solidify their learning. 

We continue this year with the children learning to play penny whistles on Friday and swimming on Thursdays.  Further outdoor PE lessons will be on Mondays where the children will be learning how to play handball. Please find attached the Medium Term Plan and Home Learning Grid for Autumn Term 2. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on Seesaw or send an email to admin@broadbentfold.tameside.sch.uk and I look forward to meeting you all at parents' evening.
