As part of our Well-being Wednesday sessions, the children have been enjoying learning and playing a variety of card games, including favourites such as Snap and Make 21.These games provide a fun and engaging way for the children to spend time together while also developing important skills. Through playing, the children are strengthening their number knowledge, practising mental maths, and recognising number patterns as they work out combinations and matches. Card games also help to build important social skills. The children practise taking turns, playing fairly, and encouraging one another, which supports their confidence and teamwork. It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm and excitement during these sessions. Activities like these show how learning can take place in many different ways, and how games can help children develop both academically and socially while supporting their overall well-being.
