This half term, our topic has been "Superheroes in Our Community" – and what an exciting few weeks it's been!
We’ve been learning all about the amazing people who help keep us safe and make our communities better places to live. From doctors and nurses to police officers and paramedics, we’ve discovered that not all superheroes wear capes – some wear uniforms and carry tools to help others!
One of the highlights of this topic was a very special visit from the Fire Service. The firefighters came to school to show us about their important job and how they keep people safe every day. We learned all about fire safety and the equipment they use.
The best part? We even got the chance to pretend to put out fires using the real fire hose! It was so much fun, and we felt just like real firefighters.
A huge thank you to the local Fire Service team for taking the time to visit us. The children loved every moment, and it was a fantastic way to bring our learning to life. You truly are everyday heroes!
