Dear Parents, Carers I do hope you've had a fabulous Christmas holiday, and the children are eager to get back to school, especially after their snow day. The children have been working ever so hard last term and I hope they're buzzing to get started on our Viking topic. This term we will be finely tuning the children's grammatical terminology understanding to support them in their writing at Year 6 standard. In history, they will be delving back in time to the Vikings and taking a closer look at Ivor the Boneless and Edward the Confessor. In science, the children will be finding out about their circulatory system, hopefully with a visit to a science lab to dissect a heart. PE days have now changed. We now have PE on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, here the children will be learning dodgeball skills and creating a dance through the ages. Please find attached the MTP for Spring 1. Creative homework this half term to research and create a Viking Longship. The submission date is Monday 3rd February 2025.  We have a Safe Squad visit on Friday 31st January and our Viking Dress up day is on Friday 7th February.
