Today we were visited by our new governor Agnes Fough. She shared with us the special 'Asante naming the child ceremony'

The children learned some of the words for naming babies after the day of the week they were born on. We also practised reading out a script which a privileged person would read out to name a new baby in the Asante culture. 

This was fascinating.
