Welcome to School Diversity Week 2022!
This year, School Diversity Week is bigger than ever – thousands of primary and secondary schools are signed up to take part and celebrate, showing their pupils that being LGBT is something to be celebrated. From talking about diverse families and hearing from children's authors in our storytime series. We are delighted that Broadbent Fold are supporting young people across the UK. More information can be found:
Thank you for parents and carers who attended our book look. It was very successful and really nice to see faces in school again.
Today we celebrated our Arts Award achievement. Our year 6 pupils received their Arts Award certificate linked to working with an artist in school around the topic of ‘Keen to be Green’. Where we had a focus on our environment and clean air.
“An emotion is like a fish in a pond that can take over at any time.” (Primary school child)
The Mental Health Foundation hosted the first Mental Health Awareness Week 21 years ago – a key moment for people and organisations across the UK to reflect on the importance of mental health and wellbeing. This year, the theme is loneliness.
Welcome to the GM Walking Festival 2022! Join in by searching for a walk near you, shorter or longer walks, easier or more challenging walks or something that takes your fancy on a particular day in May.
Have a Hoppy Easter to our families. Be safe and take time to enjoy being with your family.
Our Pupil Leaders have decided that every Wednesday is a wellbeing 'check-in' day. On Wellbeing Wednesday we take time to chat, to do yoga, meditation and share things on our mind. Staff and pupils are joining in with these special days every week. Join in at home too and talk to each other.
The theme for the 2022 Science Week is ‘Growth’
