Reading in Y6

Year 6 are loving their new class read, Can you see me by Libby Scott and  Rebecca Westcott. Today, they got the chance to identify the characters' feelings by looking for evidence in the text.

Thank you Y6

Thank you to our fabulous prefects and head boy and girl for their assistance last night with the Meet the Teacher night. Great job representing the school.

Super Sports

Year 6 had a fabulous time with Charles from the Jason Robinson Foundation Trust this afternoon. What a great way to chill after their tests this morning.

Librarians

Meet our new Librarians. We had our first meeting on Friday and they already have lots of plans for the year ahead. They will be very busy soon helping to organise our new library furniture. The lunchtime clubs will start very soon and they can't wait to get going.

House Captains

Our new House Captains have been voted for Sapphire, Amber, Ruby and Emerald. Good luck to our new houses. Let's see who our first winner is!

Responsibilities in Y6

Look at all our amazing Year 6 leaders. We have Head Boy and Head Girl, Pupil Leaders, Sports Leaders, Prefects, Librarians and House Leaders. They will be excellent role models for the whole school!

Learning in Y6

Year 6 have got cracking with their learning really well. I'm impressed by their determination and drive at tackling new things. Have a look at a few activities from today.

Welcome to Year 6

Welcome to Year 6 with Mrs Higham and Mrs Gao. We are really looking forward to teaching the cohort again and supporting them in their final year at Broadbent Fold.  I do hope you've all had a fabulous summer holiday, and the children are raring to get cracking for our first term in Year 6. This half term starts by ensuring the children understand the expectations of Year 6. I will be explicit in how we can raise standards to ensure the children know what they need to do this year to be secondary school ready.
