Tameside Libraries at half term

Please find attached the Tameside Libraries newsletter and events for primary schools. They have lots of fantastic events planned for over half term some are bookable via Eventbrite and others are drop in but all of them are free!

 


Gorse Hall walk

Today is World Mental Health Day year 3 have had time today to stop, relax and get into nature. We went to Gorse Hall and played, ran, completed a scavenger hunt, played ball and collected lots and lots of acorns.

Then we arrived back to school and relaxed some more with a delicious hot chocolate.

We are feeling calm and happy.


Art Gallery

Year 3's stunning art work is on display in the KS2 Art Gallery. It looks wonderful.

The rest of the work will be displayed in our class gallery next week.


Handwriting Awards

Well done to all of our pupils who have been selected to win the Handwriting Award this term. Their work is on display outside Mrs Parker's room for everyone to see.

Superstars

Well done to our superstars who won stars who shared their achievements in assembly this week.


Persuasive Writing

Check out some pieces from year 3 writers. They have been creating persuasive pieces encouraging families to join our school. I did not bribe them with chocolate at all! 


Lowry inspired artwork

Today we have used different mediums to complete our finished Lowry inspired pictures. We have created matchstick men in front of either Dukinfield Town Hall, Portland Basin or Tennyson Avenue. The finished work will be displayed in our Art Gallery. 


Space Week

To celebrate World Space Week year 3 have created planets that are out of this world. We have also been watching clips on BBC about how the planets orbit the sun. Our guided reading work has been all about the Solar System too.


Cross Country Grand Prix

A huge well done to everyone who took on Storm Amy on Saturday for the first cross country race of the season! We are really proud of you for taking part!
