Bones

We have been learning the scientific names for parts of a skeleton using a catchy song. Today we revised these using 'Simon Says'

We then planned and conducted investigations collecting data to test if the length of our bones made us jump or throw further.

Henry Moore inspired art

I am really impressed with our art work based on World War 2 artist Henry Moore. Some of their work was beautiful really considering tone and perspective in their drawings. Well done year 3.

Javelin

We had different throwing stations in athletics today. We really enjoyed practising the correct technique for javelin. Peyton was our Olympian in the class. Well done!

Reading Ambassadors Display

Tameside Libraries set our Reading Ambassadors a task to create a genre display of books to persuade children to read a certain text type. They chose a fantasy theme which is books about magic, legendary creatures and faraway lands. The children put the display together themselves in the KS2 library and I think this will definitely encourage children to read these books.

Well done Ambassadors!
