We looked closely at different types of soil today and then investigated which soil was the most permeable. It was a messy test but a lot of fun.

In science we have been exploring different rocks. We started with a rock hunt around school and we discussed the difference natural and man-made rocks. We have sorted rocks by observing their properties closely. We then looked for patterns in different types of rocks by testing their hardness, porosity and buoyancy.

To celebrate Polish Day year 3 have been practising our Polish songs. We have also learnt about Polish folk art called wycinanki.
We have made symmetrical patterns by cutting and sticking coloured paper. Our finished results are fantastic!
Polish is our MFL in school and each year we have a day of celebration. Look out for blogs and Seesaw work all about Poland today.

Year 3 were very impressive demonstrating their gymnastics skills on the apparatus today. They focused on using point and patch balances.
