Year 4 have been analysing shape, line, pattern and colour in Cézanne's artwork of Mont Sainte-Victoire. They are looking forward to using these skills in their own landscape painting soon.
Year 4 loved their online workshop with author and historian, Greg Jenner. They told him so many facts they remembered about the Romans and the Stone Age and learnt how he uses his history knowledge to write childrens books. He has even been involved in Horrible Histories!

Year 2 have enjoyed sharing some of the resources that Broadbent Fold have for Christianity. Children reread and shared stories from The Bible.
Our school received The Jerusalem Trust Grant Last year and this has enabled school to purchase resources such as Bibles, religious themed stories and special objects linked to these stories.
Reception have been learning all about plants and what they need to grow.
We have looked at Vincent Van Gough's famous sunflowers painting and made our own collages based on his work.

Today we used our iPads to go on a virtual tour of Ordsall Hall which is a Tudor house in Salford. After completing some research we created some factual posters. Please have a look at some of our posters.
Year 5 worked in small groups to discuss possible reasons why Anglo-Saxons invaded Britain. We discussed push and pull factors and how these factors can still have an effect today.
