A huge thank you to Daisy's Dad who came into school today to talk about his job as an architect. He challenged the class to build the tallest tower they could out of spaghetti and marshmallows that would stay together when the tables were wobbled. I think we have lots of aspiring architects now!

Today, we were lucky enough to have a visit from a sports journalist and radio presenter from Tameside Radio. We learnt how it is important To be confident in the careers we choose and that we need to pick something that we enjoy doing. We are going to look out for our guests on the radio and in the local paper!

A big thank you to Isla's mum who came into school to talk to us about her job as a nurse and endoscopist. The children loved role playing doctors and nurses and getting to test their blood pressure and measure their heart rate. They even learnt how to put slings and bandages on each other.

Thank you to everyone that joined us on our sponsored walk - Year 4 loved exploring outside and getting to spend time with their friends and family. A special thank you to the Year 6's who were great tour guides and told us lots of information about the history of Gorse Hall.
This week, our children have been busy exploring the exciting world of careers and jobs. Throughout the week, we have been learning about a wide range of occupations and discussing the important skills needed for each role. The children have taken part in discussions, activities and games to help them think about their own interests and talents, while learning more about the many opportunities available in the future.
Thank you for all of your sponsors!
Team Emerald are House Winners! Huge congratulations, you get a non-uniform tomorrow. This is for years 2-6.
