Year 2 compared Dukinfield to Manchester today on their school visit to The Lowry.

Their drama workshop involved them working as a class, in pairs and in groups developing their performing skills all based on the Traditional tale of The Little Red Riding Hood.

Little Red Riding Hood really came alive especially as children moved to different types of music responding to the temptation of the flower!!!!  

Year 2 have most definitely shown huge improvements in their Oracy skills.

Year 6 had great fun challenging each other on their grammatical terminology. 

Our Year 1 and 2 boys loved representing Broadbent Fold for the first time in a futsal festival on Friday. They had some coaching by Inspired Futsal and learnt lots of new skills. Well done boys! 

We have started our mini marathon! Well done everyone! 

Well done to this week’s Head-Teacher and Good to be Green award winners - a super start back after the Easter half term. Well done to O who has achieved an award at her Gymnastics club, keep up the hard work!

Today, Year 5 made delicious toasted marshmallows in Forest School! 

What a wonderful rounders tournament we had today in PE. The children got lots of opportunity to practise their batting, bowling and fielding skills. Great jobs.

Today, we used atlases to find cities in the United Kingdom. They were very good!  

Year 3 are enjoying taking part in the mini marathon.

Today in English we practised our oracy skills to prepare and read out a news report using formal and journalistic language.
