Science at Imagine That!

Today, the children enjoyed an exciting educational visit to Imagine That! in Liverpool, where they took part in a range of fun and interactive science activities. Throughout the day, the children explored the different areas of the attraction and became young scientists as they investigated, experimented and discovered new things through hands-on learning.

Careers & jobs at Imagine That!

As part of our Careers Week celebrations, our children enjoyed an exciting visit to Imagine That! in Liverpool. The trip gave the children a wonderful opportunity to explore the world of work through imaginative role play and hands-on activities. The children stepped into the shoes of lots of different professionals as they explored the fantastic Imagination Village. They loved pretending to work in a variety of jobs and careers, developing their communication, teamwork and creativity skills along the way.

Visit from a professional athlete/PT

Year 4 loved meeting their final visitor of careers week, Andy Robertson, who is a GB sprinter and also a PT. They learnt all about how he juggles two careers and what has inspired him to pick them. It was interesting to find how he struggled to find out what he wanted to do as a career when he retires from athletics, until he settled on PT and coaching. Year 4 particularly enjoyed getting the chance to improve their sprinting technique and applying this to some relay races in the sunshine.

Yoga

Year 4 have had lots of fun in their PE lessons this half term where they have been doing yoga. They particular enjoyed creating some group poses and working in pairs to create a sequence including at least 5 different yoga poses. Well done everyone!

Summer 2- How can we save our oceans?

We know Year 2 are going to love our Summer term theme-based on the text 'Someone Swallowed Stanley'.

Learning how to take care of the world is so important.

We've attached Home Learning Grid and can't wait to see children's creations.

Brunch with Mrs P

These superstars have remained on green all this half term. This means they have followed our school values being ready, respectful and safe every day. A big thank you to them for their hard work. They were chosen to have a yummy brunch with donuts, cakes, crisps and pop. They stuffed their faces and played some great tunes to listen to - Micheal Jackson's Bad was the favourite - they are certainly not bad!
