Year 4 had lots of fun today doing a music lesson at Rayner Stephens! They learnt all about rhythm and beats and were able to compose and perform their own rhythms. Well done everyone and thank you to Rayner Stephens for having us!
Year 3 and 4 had so much fun at the glow dodgeball festival last week! They had fantastic outfits, great dance moves and even better dodgeball skills! Well done everyone!

Year 5 have researched some interestingly shaped buildings to sketch and paint with water colours. They look fabulous and some of them will be displayed on our whole school Maths display!

The girls attended an under 11s festival - they played 4 teams and did not concede a goal - outstanding defence and goal keeping. We got knocked out in the final on penalties - however Woman of the Match was Captain Matilda who saved at least 8 penalties. Super proud of our girls!

Reception had an amazing time at the Science Fair. Thank you Year 6, you all did a great job.
It's been an exciting day in school today as we took part in a film for the Department for Education on school attendance. It shows the value of school and shows how it’s more than schoolwork. Being in school can help children build resilience, learn social skills, boost their confidence, and teach them that they can do hard things. In short, this is about the social and emotional benefits of school, which we put at the heart of at Broadbent Fold. Thank you for all staff and parents for taking part.
Well done to this week's award winners! Outstanding effort and attainment.
A big well done to these Year 2 children who received their awards today.

Today in Year 2, we had a special visitor—a beekeeper—who came to tell us all about looking after bees. We examined a frame that contained royal jelly, wax, and honey, as well as the beekeeper’s suit. We tasted four different types of honey and tried to guess which one was the beekeeper’s honey.
