Baking honey cakes

Year 2 learnt how to weigh ingredients and made honey cakes.

Of course they all know where honey comes from due to our bee themed learning.

Can children remember the ingredients?

Lots of skills are needed in baking and children are looking forward to baking at home to improve their skills further.

British science week BBC Live Lesson

Today, Year 5 tuned into a BBC Live Lesson to celebrate British Science Week. It talked about space-related topics, light reflection and even featured Tim Peake, who was a British European Space Agency astronaut!

Making Sandwiches

Today, the children took part in a fun and practical activity as part of their Design and Technology learning. They made their own chocolate spread sandwiches while developing important skills. The children followed a set of instructions carefully, learning about the correct order of steps needed to make their sandwich. They practised spreading the chocolate carefully, assembling their sandwich, and talking about the process they followed.

British Science week

To celebrate British Science Week, we took part in an exciting investigation based around the question: “How far can a paper aeroplane fly?”

Science Fair

Year 2 had a brilliant time at the science fair. Thank you to Mrs Higham and Year 6 children for organising and running it.
