Year 4's Tudor Theatre!

Year 4 finished off their Tudor topic with six amazing plays based on Henry VIII and his wives!  The class wrote and performed their own play scripts and even had a special visitor to watch some of their performances - Mrs Parker!  We definitely have some future actors and actresses in this class!  Brilliant work Year 4!  Well done!  Mrs Blomeley

Speakers Trust Workshop

Year 6 I am impressed with your mature attitude and super confidence during our Speakers Trust workshop today. All children were able to take part in some public speaking, whether it was in front of a small group or the whole class. This is not an easy skill and I know that some of your were nervous about taking part. I liked the 'communication triangles' that you made. They represented content, structure and delivery which we looked at in detail.

I am so proud of you all for taking part!

Robotic Engineering in Y6

Today during our Juniorstem workshop in Y6 we learnt how to use motors, sensors and programing to create, debug and develop algorithms to make our lego models move in different ways. We then followed a set of instructions to create a moving monkey model.

The children really impressed us with their problem solving and engineering skills.

I am sure we have some budding engineers of the future.

Y6 Stars of the week 30-4-21

Congratulations to our Y6 Stars Paige, Sonny and Lily.

Paige and Lily worked well together to produce a non-chronological report in science.

Sonny has been trying hard to edit and improve his writing skills.

Charlotte has won our Headteachers Award for amazing writing skills.

Burpees in Y6

Yesterday Y6 completed their burpees challenge. We practised, paired up and counted how many burpees we could complete in two minutes.

We had a three-way tie- Coban, Freya and Reuben. Well done for completing a whopping 55 burpees. I was so tired watching you!

Sonny was voted as the person who displayed great teamwork.
