Y6 Maths home learning

If you would like to complete some additional work to support our learning in class this term, download these booklets and complete at home. Send in a picture or bring them into school when they have been completed for me to have a look.

Autumn 1 Topic Information Y6

We have a wonderful half term ahead of us where we will explore and celebrate how we are all unique.

Our class text this half term is 'Can you see me now? by Libby Scott and Rebecca Westcott which follows the story of an eleven year old girl called Tally who has been diagnosed with autism and is about to start her journey at secondary school. We also look at the text 'Wonder' by R.J Palacio which is about Auggie who was born with Treacher Collins syndrome.

Y6 School Fair

As we were isolating when the school fair took place, Year 6 had a fabulous afternoon yesterday.

A huge thank you to the PTFA for making this so enjoyable.

Y6 Project

This week year 6 have put themselves in teams and chosen a project manager for different tasks. Our teams are: Alpha Starks, Sweet Delights, Candy Crushers, Alpha Leaders and the Unknown Alphas.

There first challenge was to make the tallest newspaper they could using only newspaper. After a lot of cheating ;) the team with the smallest tower won- as they were the only ones who stuck to using only newspaper.

Today they had to design a chocolate bar wrapper, logo and slogan using a product specification.

I think we have some future entrepreneurs!!!

Y6 Cricket

Year 6 have really enjoyed cricket this term with Cheshire Cricket Club. The skills displayed have been outstanding. We would like to thank Ben our sports coach who has made the lessons really enjoyable.
