World hunger presentations

To finish our topic about developing countries Year 6 have been researching ways to help reduce global hunger. The UN have 17 sustainable goals which they want to reach by 2030. Goal number 2 is to stop global hunger. The children produced posters which they presented to the class with ideas for how to help reduce world hunger.

Safe squad workshops

Year 6 enjoyed their Safe Squad workshops yesterday.

We learned about antisocial behaviour and hate crime. We know to ring 101 if we need to report anything. They enjoyed their Esafety workshop discussing how to keep ourselves safe on socal media. We then looked at how to be aware of potential fire hazards at home and had some basic training on how to perform CPR.

A very worthwhile session.

Nothing beats a good book...

Year 6 enjoyed a nice relaxful start to our Friday enjoying a book in our newly revamped library.

Thank you to all of the librarians for choosing our comfy new beanbags and for deciding how to rearrange the library and surrounding display boards.

I don't know about you but could sit in there all day long!!
