PE activities

This week is Children's Mental Health week so here are lots of different activities you can do to take a break from all your learning.

- Daily Mile Bingo = Walk or run your daily mile. Earn a certificate if you get a full house.

- Football, Rugby or Athletics Bingo = The first 3 themed bingo grids in a series of 6. For each full house you complete you earn a medal and if you complete all 6 then you get a School Games badge. You can either send your entries to your class teacher or submit them via the details at the bottom of the bingo grid.

Year 5 Home Learning Week Beginning 1st February

Dear Year 5,

Welcome to another week of home learning. I'm hoping that you and your families are all still well and motivated. This week we are continuing with our mountain theme but it's time to get creative too. Check out our zoom sessions every morning for maths and English sessions and use the afternoon to make a 3D mountain, find out about extreme animals and look after your mental health.

I look forward to seeing you all on Monday at 9:20

Take good care

Ms McCoy

The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch 2021

Here is another resource that you can use to help you enjoy the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend.  It includes instructions on how to make homemade bird food and feeders, a link to help you record your results and a link to a live webcam where you can see and have a go at identifying the birds as they visit the feeders.

I really hope that you enjoy taking part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch!

Year 5 Home Learning week beginning 25th January

Welcome to week 4 of home learning. I do hope that you're managing to access everything and enjoy joining the daily zoom sessions, it is so lovely to see everyone. This week we are moving forward in maths onto our fractions topic and finding out about the weather and mountains in Northa and South America. If you have any issues don't forget to email admin@broadbentfold.tameside.sch.uk or write a message on Seesaw and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Take good care of yourselves.

Kind regards

Coordination (PE)

The Physical Education take home worksheet focuses all around coordination for this half term. It gives children opportunities to learn at home whilst keeping fit. The worksheet can be written on or be discussed with a parent or carer. I have attached the document below. Don't forget to send anything you complete to your class teacher on Seesaw.

Chance to Shine Cricket session

Chance to Shine are running weekly cricket sessions live on youtube. These are taking place every Wednesday between 2-2.45pm and can be found via the following link https://youtu.be/uYyvkI0tpnk.

This week the session is called Cool Catcher and is focusing on catching skills. If you want to take part you will need a ball or rolled up pair of socks and a wall to rebound the ball off.
