Thank you for all the families that joined us for our book look. We are very proud of our pupils and their hard work each day.
We were so excited when our new football kit was delivered today and cannot wait to wear it for our future matches. Thank you to ESFA for donating it to our school.
Last week, some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the dodgeball finals involving the top 10 teams in Tameside. We came 5th in our group playing games against Buckton Vale, Dowson, Aldwyn and Greenside. They won, drew and lost some games but showed great determination throughout and real improvement since the last competition. Well done everyone, you did Broadbent Fold proud!
Year 5 enjoyed the first session of their new focus in PE today - OAA. Their task was a team building challenge where they had to demonstrate agility, balance, coordination and precision. They had to use non-verbal communication to solve a problem - to get into alphabetical order by surname, whilst standing on the bench, without stepping off! They were only allowed to use hand gestures - no talking or mouthing! All of the teams were impressive - they put their dictionary skills to great use! Well done everyone! Mrs Blomeley
Well done to our Award winners in Year 5 this week! Headteacher's certificates were given for great focus and enthusiasm, as well as being an outstanding member of the class in terms of behaviour and attitude to work! Good to be Green awards were given to those who have followed our School rules all week of being Ready, Respectful and Safe. We also had some Silver awards presented for gaining 100 Star points. Fantastic work everyone! Mrs Blomeley

Year 5 were amazing in the Crumble Coding Workshop yesterday! They followed the instructions perfectly to produce a piece of wearable tech to use in their exploration of the Rainforest! Year 5's ideas were brilliant, ranging from helping them to see in the dark, to actually attracting Poison Dart Frogs with their self-designed caps, belts or wristbands! Their behaviour and listening skills were fantastic and we were so impressed! Thank you to Don and Liz for all your help - we really enjoyed the session! Mrs Blomeley and Ms Wagstaff.
Awards in Year 5 this week were given for fantastic work in Maths, by mastering the concept of finding common denominators in Fractions and for being an amazing helper and friend! Good to be Green awards were presented for following our school rules of being Ready, Respectful and Safe! Keep up the great work everyone! Mrs Blomeley
