Congratulations to our whole school handwriting winners in Autumn 2:

Nursery- Mason

Reception- Elwin

Year 1- Courtney

Year 2- Isla

Year 3- Theo

Year 4- Maycie

Year 5- Reuben

Year 6 - Niamh

We are using a new scheme in school called 'Letterjoin'. All of these children have impressed their teachers! Their magnificent work has been displayed on our writing display near Mrs Parker's office.

Hokusai

Look at Year 5's exceptional paintings of Hokusai's wave that is represented in recreating the front cover of Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. The children created these collages by mixing paint and creating a sunset that was then embellished with Hokusai's wave. The Peggy Sue was then strategically placed upon the wave. Excellent work Year 5!

Outdoor Shelters

Year 5 had an excellent afternoon on Friday making shelters linked to our story Kensuke's Kingdom. The children used their ingenuity and creativity to turn bin bags, string and foraged materials into a shelter. What a fantatsic outdoor learning session we had. Well done Year 5!
