International Spanish Day

Year 5 had a fantastic day food testing and finding out about what shops are on a Spanish high street. They were able to create sentences using....En mi calle hay...., and collect data about their favourite places to visit. Look at the Spanish town squares they made too.

Space week

Year 5 have been examining the solar system throughout space week and writing diaries as if they're an astronaut. They have so many questions about space that I'm happy it is one of our major topics in Y5.

Laura's Home Learning

Laura I am impressed with your writing about Victorian Britain- your presentation is lovely and neat. Well done for practising your handwriting skills at home.

I like your Victorian menu design too- keep up the good work. :)

Unfortunately I could not turn the photographs the right way up.

Matilda's Victorian carriage

Well done Matilda for your creative home learning creating Queen Victoria and Albert in a carriage from Lego.  I am impressed with how many facts you remembered!

I like how you have taken a photo of your carriage against the background of a Victorian street. It looks really authentic :)

Y5 Home Learning Autumn 1

Our topic this half term is about The Victorians. We have been finding out what life was like for Victorian children in the world of work, school and at home.

Can you become a historian and create something to impress me?

Niamh's Wonderful Home Learning

Fantastic work as always Niamh, you have been working hard on your Grammar and Punctuation, Comprehension and Anglo Saxon Non-Chronological report. Thank you for all of this amazing work. Well done and good luck in Year 6. Miss Glenn.

Results of Times Table Rock Stars Guinness World Records® Title Holder!

To all those Rock Legends out there!  Back in May I posted a link about becoming a Times Table Rock Stars Guinness World Records® Title Holder!  I'm not sure if anyone entered from our school but the results are now in and the title was won by a 10 year old boy from Long Eaton.  Take a look at his winning video by clicking on the link below.  His speed is incredible!  Well done to anyone who did enter - please let me know if you did!
