The Hummingbird Project in Years 5 and 6

Year 5 and Year 6 are currently taking part in The Hummingbird Project , which is a six week Positive Education intervention.  The Project is designed to give pupils the tools they need to be as happy, healthy, and productive as possible.  So far the children have taken part in workshops about happiness, mindfulness, gratitude, kindness, character strengths, and resilience. These include fun activities that help them to understand how to put these ideas into practice and, most importantly, help them to  feel good about the future.

Winter Reading Challenge

After our very successful October reading challenge, the Reading Ambassadors have set a new one. Please complete a book review on one of your favourite books using the template which will be sent home. Please hand in your completed book review to your teacher by Friday 20th January for the chance of winning a prize. The best book reviews will be sent to Tameside Libraries who will display them on their Twitter feed.

I can't wait to find out which books you have all been reading!
