Tudor inspired motifs

We have looked at lots of patterns in nauture this week and have been influenced by the Tudor Rose to create our own motifs to create repeated prints. The finished work looks amazing and will be displayed next week.

Fund Raising Thank You

I have just had the privilege of counting the money raised for our sponsored walk on Monday. Well, what can I say? You have raised £2,618.50 so far by sponsoring your child to walk around Gorse Hall. The Year 6 children have mapped the route this morning and are eager to marshal the event. We are so grateful for your generosity. Whenever you pop into school, please have a look at how our sensory room is developing.  I look forward to seeing a lot of you on Monday morning when you join us on the sponsored walk. Dress up warmly as there is a slight chance of rain.

Tudor Day

We have baked, researched and been creative all morning in our Tudor Day. The children have made some fabulous pieces of work- some will go on our display some they will bring home in their packs. What a fun way to learn history.

Ordsall Hall research

Today we used our iPads to go on a virtual tour of Ordsall Hall which is a Tudor house in Salford. After completing some research we created some factual posters. Please have a look at some of our posters.
