Amazing Art in Key Stage 2!

Our Key Stage 2 classes have created a variety of artwork, based on their current class texts.  Year 3 children have used chalk and pastels to create images of the "Iron Man" and Year 4 have used their portrait skills to draw pictures of Henty VIII's wives from their Tuodor topic.  Year 5 created a newly discovered fruit in their work on "The Explorer".  They sketched real fruit but then painted it an unusual colour to produce a new type.  Year 6 used inspiration from Shaun Tan and his books to design artwork using different techniques.  We are very proud of this amazing artwork!  Well done

#Letgirlsplay day

What a great day seeing so many girls playing football! Some Year 5 and 6 pupils went to Rayner Stephens to take part in a girls football festival while others played football at breaks and lunchtime. Our amazing Game Changers were awarded their well deserved badges for their dedication to girls football too.

Well done to these children for achieving a head teachers award and a good to be Green pencil!

Game Changers Assembly

Our Game Changers were very brave today doing an assembly infront of the whole school telling everyone about their role as Game Changers and #letgirlsplay day which is happening tomorrow. #Letgirlsplay is all about promoting equal access in girls football by 2025. We cannot wait for th fun activities to continue tomorrow!

Design Technology Year 3- designing and making Cranes!

Year 3 have learnt about pulleys and cranes and how they can be used to move a heavy load.

Children learnt this skill so that they could plan and design a crane which would rescue The Iron Man.

Pulleys were used successfully to pull the Iron Man.

Year 3 are showing fabulous Design Technology skills.  They worked cooperatively with their team to create a successful model crane.

World Book Day events 2024
