This week Headteacher's Award was given to all Year 2 children for trying incredibly hard with their test. Congratulations to Good to be Green lottery winners and Vocabulary Ninja.
A huge congratulations to Team Sapphire, who have won the House Cup and will receive non-uniform day on Friday 23rd May. Well done!
A big well done to all Year 2 children who received their awards today. The Head teacher's certificates were awarded for efforts in writing and PE. We also had two Good to be Green lottery winners and three children achieved their Bronze Award. Handwritng champion was also selected. Keep up the good work!

Year 2 children wrote twisted versions of the Traditional story- Little Red Riding Hood. They wrote them up neatly and made them into booklets.
Tameside Libraries set our Reading Ambassadors a task to create a genre display of books to persuade children to read a certain text type. They chose a fantasy theme which is books about magic, legendary creatures and faraway lands. The children put the display together themselves in the KS2 library and I think this will definitely encourage children to read these books.
