Gold Winners..again!

We have achieved GOLD for our School Games Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

Wimbledon Day

We've started Sports Week with tennis skills practice. We practised rolling the ball to each other, bouncing and catching the ball as well as bouncing it on the racket. We really enjoyed it! A big thank you to Year 6 boys who were super helpful and demonstrated each activity.

Stars of the week

Congratulations to our stars of the week. This week Headteacher's certificates were awarded for great work in DT and comprehension. Two Children received Good to Be Green pencils and one achieved her Bronze Award. What a fantastic start to the new half term. Keep it up!

Programming using Scratch

Year 2 had Year 6 visit and help them to programme Scratch;

Children can change characters and background, make the characters talk, all in a sea/ beach theme.

Learning to sew in Year 2

As part of Design Technology Year 2 children learnt to thread a needle and sew.  A fabulous skill to have.

Year 4 children helped us.

We are aiming to make our own puppets.

How can we save our oceans?

Coming soon!!

Year 2 will be learning around the theme oceans and the seaside.

They will even be learning to sew as part of Design Technology.

Take a look at our MTP for more details.

Well done Year 2

This week Headteacher's Award was given to all Year 2 children for trying incredibly hard with their test. Congratulations to Good to be Green lottery winners and Vocabulary Ninja.
