Our amazing year 6s met at Dukinfield Cenotaph yesterday with our govenror Mr Moon to lay a wreath on behalf of our community. What excellent role models we have.
Intranet legends were looked at in Year 2 and children discussed Online Safety- The importance of not clicking on things online unless we know it's safe was reinforced.
Children designed their own Intranet Legend and described their skills- eg. Knowing not to click until you are sure it is safe.

Year 2 children enjoyed making lanterns following instructions. Children spoke about how lanterns are used when celebrating Diwali.
Inspired by fire fighters visit children will look at the history of The Great Fire Of London including the significant person Samuel Pepys.
They will design model fire engines and make them as part of Design Technology.

We had a had a spootacular time at the disco.

We have a visit from the Fire Brigade who taught us lots about how the fire engine worked. They explained how important their jobs were and how to respond if their was a fire at home.
Team Ruby win the team points this half term with 1,917 points. They receive non-uniform day on Thursday. Well done everyone.
This half term our assembly focus has been on 'Communication' and the importance in their future job. A pupil from each class was voted and achieved their certificate and 5 star points. They have displayed outstanding speaking and listening skills - well done superstars.
Well done to these year 2 children who received their Headteache's certificates, library challenge certificates and Good to Be Green pencils. We also had the first Bronze Award.
Wow look at all of the children who completed their summer reading challenge! They were presented with their certificates today. I am so impressed with just how many children took part in this.
