We made a scale model of the Earth (2mm blutac) and the sun (football) and put 23m distance between them. The class were very shocked by the size difference between the Earth and the sun!

Congratulations to these Year 2 children who received their awards today. Headteacher's certificates were awarded for enthusiasm in Maths and great effort. We also had two Good to be Green lottery winners. Well done!

Excellent work this week Year 6. You've all worked super hard. 

Some children demonstrated how the Earth orbits the Sun, and at the same time, the moon orbits the Earth! 

We enjoyed working in groups today to choreograph our 'around the world' dances.

Promoting Oracy discussions about the character Beegu and how she'd be feeling and sharing descriptions on how Beegu looks was enhanced by making salt dough Beegus!

Today we got to use the new Chrome Books. It took us a while to all login with our details but we managed it in the end. We used Get Epic to read some stories. 

We enjoyed playing team building games in PE this week.
