Year 3 have been practising their bowling, batting and fielding skills in rounders.

Year 6 had a choice of summer sporting activities this afternoon, with games of cricket, rounders or tennis on offer. How lovely it was seeing everyone play well together.

Last week, some of our KS2 pupils represented Tameside in the Greater Manchester Primary Panathlon County Final! They took part in lots of different activities to earn points for their team. We are so proud of you all, what an achievement to get selected to represent Tameside! Well done everyone! 

Today's English focus was character descriptions of a villain monster. We worked as a class team to match a picture to the correct description, then tried to write our own description of the monster Grendel. The class enjoyed reading each other's description and left positive feedback, as well as a comment of how to improve their writing. They enjoyed this lesson! 

Well done to these superstars!

In science, the class investigated properties of different materials focusing on magnetism (using magnets),  transparency (using torches) and hardness. We then discussed what material certain items should be made out of and why. 

Our Mental Health Practitioner visited Y6 to give the class strategies of how to cope with exam stress. Getting them ready for the SATs next week. These were really useful ideas to help us everyday, not just for a test.
