Science Year 2 investigation

Mrs Tonge and Year 2 carried out an investigation to find out which materials were waterproof.

Scientific vocabulary was used including absorbant, waterproof and children used such words to make predictions and conclusions.

 


Team games

Year 5 took part in team challenges involving benches with the sports coach. They performed super well!   


Santa’s grotto interviews

We are planning to write some formal letters to apply for a job working in Santa's grotto To prepare we had some mock interviews yesterday where we had to use formal language in our answers.


Cave painting experience

Yesterday year 3 got to experience using different mediums to create their cave paintings. They crushed fruit, used charcoal and made mud paints. We also had a go at climbing under our tables to experience what it is like to draw inside a cave. We had a really enjoyable afternoon. 


Spy gymnastics

Year 5 are applying their gymnastic skills to create a spy routine to the theme song Mission Impossible. 


Live Sports Quiz

Some year groups in our school took part in a Live Sports Quiz against other schools in Tameside. The Year 5s really enjoyed it. 


Amazing handwriting

 Wow just look at our lovely presentation throughout school. These children have been selected to win the Handwriting Award this half term and their work is proudly on display. They all won a certificate and special pencil.

Our winners are: Nursery- Dominic, Reception- Myles, Year 1- Anaya, Year 2- Poppy H, Year 3- George, Year 4- Isla, Year 5- Ella F, Year 6- Matilda
