Year 6 have been working super hard this half term. They have been turning up to class early to access booster classes, worked with partners to support each other's learning and tried really hard to assimilate all the information they need to know for their tests next week. We are so proud of all their efforts. 

Reception have been learning all about plants and the things they need to grow. We have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk and have even planted our own beans. We are recording their progress in our bean diaries. I wonder whose will grow tallest?

Year 3 were superb bakers today recreating a Tudor recipe called Shewsbury biscuits. They enjoyed eating them even more.

We have baked, researched and been creative all morning in our Tudor Day. The children have made some fabulous pieces of work- some will go on our display some they will bring home in their packs. What a fun way to learn history. 

Year 3 look fabulous today dressed as rich and poor Tudors. 

Reception love their sessions with Coach Jess from City in the Community. This week, we were collecting cones Sonic the Hedgehog style. 

What a bumper lot of certificates for Y6 today. Great work.

Year 4 have been analysing shape, line, pattern and colour in Cézanne's artwork of Mont Sainte-Victoire. They are looking forward to using these skills in their own landscape painting soon. 

Year 4 loved their online workshop with author and historian, Greg Jenner. They told him so many facts they remembered about the Romans and the Stone Age and learnt how he uses his history knowledge to write childrens books. He has even been involved in Horrible Histories!

Year 2 have enjoyed sharing some of the resources that Broadbent Fold have for Christianity.  Children reread and shared stories from The Bible.

Our school received The Jerusalem Trust Grant Last year and this has enabled school to purchase resources such as Bibles, religious themed stories and special objects linked to these stories.
